(Fort Lauderdale, FL) - HUKA Entertainment, leading creator and producer of large scale destinationlocation
music festivals, announced today that 8-time Entertainer of the Year KENNY CHESNEY will
return for the third time to headline2017'S ROCK THE OCEAN'S TORTUGA MUSIC FESTIVAL.
Chesney chose Tortuga as one of only a handful of concert dates the man - who just sold more than
121,000 tickets at Foxborough, Mass.'s Gillette Stadium and 56,000 at MetLife Stadium - will perform in
2017. Country music's biggest beach party will celebrate its fifth year Friday, April 7, Saturday, April 8
and Sunday, April 9, 2017 on the sands of Fort Lauderdale Beach Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Anticipation for the fifth annual Tortuga Music Festival is building as Early Bird Tickets sold-out in a
record 45 minutes and Advance Tickets in just two days, all before announcing any of the performers
joining for three days of sun, song, sand and surf in Fort Lauderdale. Regular tickets are available now at a
rate of $229 for three-day General Admission and $999 for three-day VIP passes (shipping and handling
fees may apply to each ticket type). Regular priced three-day Super VIP passes can be purchased for

EDT.Visit TortugaMusicFestival.comor call 877-987-6487 to confirm tickets and make plans to hit the
beach in 2017.
Additionally, Tortuga fans will have the opportunity this year to upgrade their tickets daily to get
guaranteed front stage access to a new area in front of the Main Stage called "The Reef."
Tortuga Music Festival, produced and promoted by HUKA Entertainment, features multiple stages
with unparalleled VIP amenities for viewing some of the hottest and most unique artists in country,
rock and roots music. The event serves to celebrate HUKA's destination location theme with the
festival's ocean-side setting while still raising awareness of issues impacting the world's oceans and
supporting marine research and conservation, as well as protection of the festival's namesake - sea
turtles that nest annually along South Florida's Atlantic seaboard. To this date more than $300,000
has been raised to support these efforts.
"With our expansion last year to three days, our fans showed how excited they were to get an extra
day of Tortuga time on the beach," says HUKA Entertainment Chief Experience Officer A.J. Niland.
"We've had a unanimously tremendous response from the artists, fans and community expressing
what a unique and special event Tortuga has become. More than 90,000 fans attended last year.
And we know our fifth year will be even better!"
Though the remainder of performers will remain under wraps for the time being, Niland promises
that the 2017 line-up will be "our strongest one yet!" Fans can expect the same caliber of talent and
outstanding headliners to hit the beach at Tortuga as in previous years, which have featured the
likes of Blake Shelton, Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Jake Owen, Hank
Williams, Jr., The Doobie Brothers, Billy Currington, Kelsea Ballerini, Sheryl Crow, Brett Eldredge,
Ziggy Marley, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Lynryd Skynyrd, Elle King, Frankie Ballard and many,
The onsite Conservation Village, which will again be curated by Rock The Ocean, will play host to
organizations dedicated to marine research and conservation, and will provide interactive, educational
experiences for festival patrons.
Additionally, festivalgoers will again be encouraged to collect waste at the event site to minimize the
festival's impact on the environment, as in previous years, when fans were rewarded for their efforts with
various premiums given in exchange for collected trash.

Jun. 27th - Jul. 31st
The Cottonwood Gulch Prairie Trek began in 1926 when our founder, Hillis Howie, learned of plans to pave Route 66. He wanted to make sure that his students learned about the American West and Native cultures before it was too late. This 5 week, all male Trek will inspire and challenge young men through wilderness backpacking, local service projects, rock climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering, and exploration of cultural and scientific sites around the Four Corners. Prairie Trekkers spend a large part of their Trek traveling from site to site, bound only by the road and their destination. The remaining time will be spend at our Base Camp property located in the Zuni Mountains. Here Trekkers will work on their personal legacy projects that may include forest restoration projects, organic farming projects, or special carpentry additions to Base Camp. Prairie Trekkers have the highest rate of return and represent a 90 year legacy here at The Gulch.
Jun. 27th - Jul. 31st
Mountain Desert Trek is an experience unlike any other. Are you ready to spend 6 weeks backpacking through desert canyons, up mountain peaks, across rivers, and into the wilderness? Do you enjoy ghost towns, Native American cultures, local artists and musicians, service learning, and organic farming? The Cottonwood Gulch Mountain Desert Trek is our longest and most intensive Trek designed for young men and women ages 16-18. This Trek will spend much of their 44 days exploring sites like a Colorado 14er, Mesa Verde, Monument Valley, The Great Sand Dunes, and many other world class destinations. MDT Trekkers will develop leadership skills through personal projects, planning expeditions, demonstrating expedition mentality, and communal living. Most importantly, Trekkers will learn self-reliance, compassion for their peers, and how to overcome personal challenges.
Jun. 27th - Jul. 31st
The Turquoise Trail (a.k.a. The TT) was started in 1934, and it's been a pride of the Gulch ever since. Back then, The Gulch was a pioneer in getting young women outdoors. Today, the Turquoise Trail still inspires women to challenge express themselves as young women. This 5 week long all-female Trek will enamor trekkers and take them through wilderness backpacking trips, local service projects, rock climbing and mountaineering, and explorations of cultural and scientific sites throughout the Southwest. This Trek will spend the majority of their time out on the open road traveling the four corners. However, we settle down for 10 days at our Base Camp to work of legacy projects. In the past, these projects have included adobe kiln and horno restoration, pottery and silver smithing in our Native Arts Workshop, organic farming, forest restoration, and Base Camp beatification projects. Like our original trip, the Prairie Trek, nearly every member of this group returns for a second summer; a testament to the power of these experiences.
